Gracing the occasion as the esteemed Chief Guest was Thiru. S. Peter Alphonse, Chairman representing the State Minorities Commission, of the Government of Tamil Nadu. Recognizing the parallel growth of SHCTPT College alongside the Indian Republic, he painted a vivid picture of India’s educational landscape, juxtaposing the mere 7% literacy rate in 1908 with the impressive 87% recorded in the 2011 population census.
