3rd IUS East Asia & Oceania Continental Conference: A successful Culmination to the EAO meeting.

 

(3rd IUS EAO Conference, Manila) – On Wednesday September 27th, 2023, the IUS East Asia & Oceania Continental Conference concluded with great success. Under the guidance of Father Oscar Lozano, the conference commenced its last day with a Holy Mass, setting the tone for the planned activities.

 

A significant aspect of the conference was the recognition of the authorities who played important roles in the participation in the educational panels and discussion regarding the IUS in the EAO region. For their assistance and insight, they received diplomas, as a sign of commitment to shaping the future of education.

 

The General Coordinator Fr. Oscar also took this opportunity to visit the Salesian Institutions present in the Philippines. Our general coordinator began his visit accompanied by the participants of the conference at the installations of Don Bosco College Canlubang. Continuing his expedition, Fr. Oscar ventured into the academic community of Don Bosco College Mandaluyong, where he met with the esteemed dean of the college Dr. Matulac Melvin.

 

Lastly engaging interactions with students and faculty provided valuable insights into the dynamic learning experiences offered at Don Bosco Technical College Cebu which was the last institution visited by the General Coordinator. The college’s dean, Fr. Undar Rooney, graciously thanked Fr. Oscar for the visit.

 

The Continental Conference not only celebrated the cultural diversity of the IUS but also served as a platform to shape the future of the institutions and the network. Discussions and educative panels from the conference accomplished their goal of bringing a meaningful message of service to society and development among the youth.
