(St. Anthony’s College, Shillong) – A groundbreaking nationwide study on values-based higher education was unveiled in Shillong, marking a significant milestone for Don Bosco institutions across India. The research publication, titled “Assessing the Realisation of the Salesian Pedagogy in Don Bosco Higher Education Institutions across India”, was formally released by Rev. Fr. Rafael Bejarano SDB, General Counsellor for Youth Ministry, in the presence of leading educators, researchers, and institutional heads.
The study, co-authored by Fr. Joby Joseph SDB, PhD, and Sr. Veronica Lalchhanhimi MSMHC with support from the Research & Development Cell of St. Anthony’s College, Shillong, offers a sweeping quantitative assessment of how Don Bosco Higher Education Institutionsembed Salesian philosophy into everyday practice. Covering 11 Salesian Provinces and more than 50 institutions across India, the research engaged a wide spectrum of stakeholders—including management, faculty, support staff, and final-year students—to evaluate the depth and consistency of values-based education within these campuses.
