(Don Bosco International Media Academy, Paris) – The Salesian school Don Bosco International Media Academy (DBIMA) announces the launch of a workshop designed to help students understand that everything they see on screen is not a faithful representation of reality, but an illusion, a media construct. This program, which has already proven successful in many partner schools, aims to strengthen students’ digital literacy skills and raise their awareness of the impact of media on their perception of the world. It is aimed specifically at young people aged 13 to 18, in France and French-speaking Belgium, and can be rolled out during the 2025-2026 school year.
The program offers content tailored to students’ needs and is designed to help them develop a critical approach to the images and videos they consume every day, whether on social media, television, or other forms of media.
A bilingual workshop for an enriching experience
To meet the diverse needs of schools, DBIMA offers a flexible workshop format, which can be delivered in both French and English , or in an English-only version . Several partner schools have expressed a desire to offer students the opportunity to practice English during the workshop, in addition to the essential digital skills they will acquire.
Interested schools can contact DBIMA for more information, to choose a suitable time slot and to specify their specific expectations.
