(Don Bosco College, Maram) – The institution, Don Bosco College (Autonomous), Maram, has been conferred the Chief Minister’s Award for Educational Excellence 2026 by the Department of University and Higher Education, Government of Manipur, in recognition of its commitment to academic quality, holistic student development and institutional excellence.
Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh presented the award at the State-Level Teachers’ Day Celebration held at the City Convention Centre, Imphal.
Fr. (Dr.) K. O. Sebastian, Principal; John Britto, IQAC Coordinator; and Rajkumar, Head of the Department of Biotechnology, received the award on behalf of the college.
The honour adds to the institution’s record of recognition from the Department of University and Higher Education, which has conferred similar awards on the college since 2023. The continued recognition highlights the institution’s sustained efforts to strengthen academic standards, promote holistic education and enhance institutional practices.
The college expressed gratitude to the Government of Manipur and the Department of University and Higher Education for the honour. It also acknowledged the contribution of its management, faculty, non-teaching staff, students and other stakeholders to the institution’s growth and educational mission.
