(Don Bosco Arts & Science College, Chennai) – On the auspicious evening of December 18, 2023, the hallowed halls of Don Bosco Arts and Science College resonated with joy and goodwill as the members of the Peace and Harmony Club orchestrated a heartwarming event titled “Jingle Hopes” at Don Bosco Beatitudes in Vyasarpadi. This festive extravaganza, meticulously organized by the adept club coordinators, Prof. Joy Mercy and Prof. Allen Cornelius, alongside the relentless support of Bro. Peter and Bro. Ronald was a testament to the spirit of Christmas and the enduring values upheld by the institution.

 

The master of ceremonies for the evening was none other than the charismatic Club President, Godson (II BCom General), whose infectious enthusiasm set the tone for the entire program. The ethereal melodies of the choir, accompanied by the skillful keystrokes of Godson, filled the air with the timeless tunes of Christmas carols, creating an ambiance of pure serenity.

 

Adding a dynamic element to the celebration, student Divakar (II BCom General) took the stage, coaxing the children into a jubilant dance that echoed the joyous spirit of the season. The rhythmic beats of student Hemanth’s (II BCom CS) beatboxing skills resonated through the gathering, captivating the audience and infusing the event with an electrifying energy.

 

The thespian talents of student Miguel (II BA English) shone brightly during a compelling monoacting performance, leaving a lasting impression on the captivated audience. Meanwhile, student Paul Isaac (II BCom CS) spun a tale of inspiration, his value-added story weaving through the fabric of hope and resilience, resonating with the true meaning of Christmas.

 

As the evening progressed, the children were treated to a series of engaging competitions, fostering a sense of camaraderie and friendly competition among the youngsters. The air was thick with anticipation as winners were announced, their faces lit with joy at the prospect of receiving prizes.

 

The grand finale of the evening was an enchanting portrayal of Santa Claus by student Hemanth (II BCom CS), who donned the iconic red suit and brought a twinkle to the eyes of the children. His entertaining antics and the distribution of prizes created a magical atmosphere, etching unforgettable memories in the hearts of the young attendees.

 

Following the crescendo of festivities, a heartfelt vote of thanks echoed through the venue, acknowledging the collective effort that went into making Jingle Hopes a resounding success. The final strains of a Christmas carol served as a harmonious farewell, leaving a lingering sense of warmth and joy.

 

The conclusion of the program saw the distribution of delectable snacks, symbolizing the culmination of a night filled with laughter, camaraderie, and the true spirit of Christmas.
