(Assam Don Bosco University, Azara) – On January 16, 2025, the School of Technology proudly hosted “Udyamotsav 2025,” one of only 13 institutions across India selected for this flagship event organized by the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) to celebrate National Startup Day. This initiative aims to promote startups originating from academic institutions and incubation centers, providing them with opportunities to pitch their ideas to investors, secure funding, and forge strategic partnerships.
The event featured 27 startup teams and eight investors and venture capitalists who engaged in live pitch sessions. During these sessions, startups showcased their innovative business ideas to a panel of investors, highlighting their growth potential, scalability, and long-term vision. Following the pitches, one-on-one meetings allowed startups to connect directly with investors for personalized discussions.
Udyamotsav 2025 served as a vital platform for student entrepreneurs, empowering them to engage with the investor community and gain valuable insights into business models and scaling strategies. By facilitating these connections, the event not only showcased the entrepreneurial spirit among students but also contributed significantly to strengthening India’s startup ecosystem.
