Converge 3.0 at Don Bosco College of Engineering Strengthens Industry–Academia Collaboration for Future-Ready Engineers

 

(Don Bosco College Of Engineering, Fatorda) – Converge 3.0, an industry–academia summit, organised under the theme “Innovate, Integrate, Impact: Building Goa’s Future-Ready Changemakers” was held on 30 January 2026 at Fr. Agnel Ashram, Verna, part of the Agnel Technical Education Complex, Goa. The event, organised by the Department of Higher Education, Govt. of Goa, brought together students, faculty, and industry professionals to foster interdisciplinary collaboration, innovation, and skills development. The programme featured keynote talks by distinguished speakers, interactive workshops, and an innovation showcase, providing participants with opportunities to learn, engage, and network.

 

The programme was inaugurated by Mr. Mayur Virkar, CEO, CodeMax IT Solutions, as the Chief Guest, who highlighted the importance of industry relevance, innovation, and continuous upskilling.

 

Expert sessions were delivered by Mr. Narendra Naik and Mr. Sanel Mulgund (OpenSpace Technologies), Mr. Kiran Naik Muli (Big Bloom Design), Mr. Ganesh Bhamalkar (Syntegon), Mr. Suraj Mahajan (Buoyancy Consultants), Dr. Sanjay Gaikwad (CES’s Parvatibai Chowgule College of Arts and Science), and Mr. Pavan kalyan (CodeMax IT Solutions), covering domains across Computer, Mechanical, Civil, and ECS Engineering.

 

The Lenovo Leap AI Hackathon 2026, an artificial intelligence–focused innovation programme, saw participation from 150 teams (300 students) from 25 General colleges, 5 Engineering colleges, NIT Goa in this state-level event held on 29th January 2026 at PCCE. strengthen student engagement with emerging technologies.

 

Two student groups from the mechanical department, guided by Dr. Ajit Salunke and Dr. Avil D’Sa participated in the project competition organised for engineering students.

 

Converge 3.0 reaffirmed Don Bosco College Of Engineering Goa’s commitment to strengthening industry–academia collaboration and preparing students to become future-ready professionals.
