(ANS – Roma) – As part of the preparations for the feast of Saint John Bosco, a new collection of 20 selected quotes of Don Bosco has been creatively transformed into a series of aesthetically designed posters. Created for display, print, electronic communication, and social media, these posters present Don Bosco’s wisdom in a visual form that speaks clearly and effectively to today’s world. The posters are available for download in six languages: English, Italian, Spanish, French, Portuguese, and Polish
The selected quotations reflect the very heart of Don Bosco’s vision and spirituality. They touch on love for God, commitment to goodness, humility, honesty, joy, and perseverance, as well as his firm opposition to laziness and moral compromise. Above all, they express his deep and constant concern for young people. Together, these words remind us that holiness is lived through daily effort, that good must never be postponed, and that true happiness is found in a life lived in peace with God. They also highlight Don Bosco’s realism and moral clarity, especially his conviction that young people must not only be loved, but must feel that they are loved
Presented as posters, these quotations become more than texts to be read; they become messages to be seen, shared, and remembered. The visual quality of the designs enhances the impact of Don Bosco’s thought, making the posters effective tools for classrooms, oratories, chapels, parish spaces, offices, and digital platforms.
The initiative has already drawn heartfelt appreciation. Fr Hilario Passero, aged 95, a senior Brazilian Salesian currently serving at the Salesian Headquarters as the Portuguese translator, reacted with enthusiasm on seeing the posters, saying: “Let us share these posters and inflame the world with the spirit of Don Bosco.”
.
In this spirit, the Social Communication sector warmly encourages all Social Communication Delegates and Salesian communities to download and share these posters widely—within institutions, among young people, collaborators, benefactors, and friends, and across social media networks. A single image, when shared, can inspire reflection, encourage goodness, and foster a deeper encounter with Don Bosco’s spirit.
As the title itself affirms, Don Bosco still speaks today. Through these posters, his voice continues to guide, challenge, and encourage the world—especially the young—to walk the path of joy, virtue, and hope.
