He first held a meeting with Fr. José Cordera and various authorities of the Higher Education level of the Work, the Technical Institute, and the Don Bosco Faculty.
In the meeting, Fr. George Thadathil shared the initiatives currently being carried out around the world by the IUS. He encouraged strengthening ties with the Continental Network of Higher Education Institutes and promoted regional meetings for joint collaboration. The authorities of the Don Bosco Work, in turn, shared different projects underway and emphasized the importance of continuing to promote quality education.
After the meeting with authorities, Fr. George Thadathil addressed the Higher Education students with a message, encouraging them to continue their formation and to dare to dream in order to make their dreams a reality. He also invited them to consider educational and professional exchange opportunities with other institutions, especially with some in India.
He also toured every corner of the Don Bosco Work: laboratories, administrative offices, winery, farms, CIPFO (Padre Francisco Oreglia Research Center), the workshop of the Institute of Vocational Training, the food processing kitchen, and the historic winery with its iconic Wine Tower.
