(Rome) — The IUS Conference 2025, held from October 28 to 30 at the Sacro Cuore – Sede Centrale Salesiana, concluded with a strong sense of unity and renewed dedication to the shared mission of Catholic higher education.

On the final day, participants gathered at Ricaldone Hall for the closing session, which took place in the presence of Dr. María Rosa Tapia from Uniservitate and Don Jose Palely, SDB, from Don Bosco University, Assam. The session marked a significant milestone as both institutions announced an agreement to collaborate, strengthening their joint commitment to fostering service-learning and Salesian educational values across the global IUS network.

Earlier that day, members of the IUS Education Conference Group had the extraordinary opportunity to meet Pope Leo XIV at the Vatican. This special audience inspired participants to continue “dreaming together for the future of education,” echoing the Salesian spirit of integral formation and global solidarity.

Following the papal audience, the delegation visited the Jubilee of Education Exhibition, celebrating the rich history and enduring mission of Catholic educational institutions around the world.

The day concluded with a pilgrimage to the Casa Don Bosco Museum and a Eucharistic celebration in the Chapel of the Letter of Don Bosco at Sede Centrale. The Mass, presided over by Don P.D. Johny, SDB, Youth Delegate of the South Asia Provincial Conference (SPCSA), served as a spiritual culmination of the three-day journey, uniting participants in gratitude and faith.

The event reaffirmed the commitment of Salesian institutions worldwide to collaborate, innovate, and accompany young people in building a more just and fraternal world through education.

With the signing of the agreement between IUS and Uniservitate, both organizations now look ahead to their respective Global Conferences in Rome in November 2026.
