Work description:
With the motif of two birds taking off against the backdrop of the setting sun in the Ariake Sea, we expressed how powerfully we are moving toward the theme of the tournament, the “future.” I used madder red for the design, imagining the sunset over the Ariake Sea and the “bright (red) future”. In addition, elements reminiscent of Omuta City and Ariake City are studded in the design.
Award-winning works: Swim in the sea after dawn and go to the future.

Work description:
When thinking about the idea, I came up with the beauty of the place name, which means “Ariake”, that is, “dawn”. It’s a fascinating word that reminds us of expectations for a new day, with the other side of the night shining slightly and feeling the sign of the morning. Considering that it is an image suitable for the competition that students challenge, we set “the sea of dawn” as the design theme. The whales drawn for the students participating in the competition come from the fact that coastal whales once lived in his area, and small whales such as snails can still be seen today. We hope for a future in which the young power that gathers in the inland sea of Ariake will make a leap into the ocean.
