(ANS – Guwahati) – Lead Academy Bangalore, co-founded by the motivational speaker Father Vattathara (V. M.) Thomas, Salesian, and Corporate Managing Director and Social Entrepreneur Mr John Benedict launched the Institutional Leadership Programme for mid-level managers in Guwahati on January 8, in collaboration with Don Bosco Institute of Management, Guwahati.

 

The first batch of participants includes 41 Priests, Brothers and Sisters between 30 and 45 years of age, working in seven dioceses and belonging to 18 congregations in India.

 

“The Post-Graduate Program in Organizational Leadership is a full-time immersive and interactive transformational program, said Father Vattathara at the inaugural session.

 

Vattathara explained, “It provides a time of learning, sharing, networking, and supporting persons holding middle-level managerial positions and equipping them in leadership. By the end of the course, the participants will be able to apply the principles and practices of effective leadership in various contexts and situations while developing and communicating their personal vision, mission, goals and values as leaders.”

 

Spelling out a list of 10 outcomes of the programme, corporate trainer Mr John Benedict said, “Each participant should embrace the values and teachings of Jesus and grow in faith and integrate them into their leadership practice.” He insisted that each participant pursue excellence and innovation and strive to improve themselves and their organizations continuously.

 

The first two-week phase of a month course scheduled in three phases started at Don Bosco Institute, Guwahati AICTE approved constituent unit of Assam Don Bosco University on January 8, with the inaugural Holy Eucharist, presided over by Archbishop John Moolachira of Guwahati. The Second phase is scheduled in Bangalore from 7 to 13 July, and the third phase in DBI Guwahati from 7 to 18 October 2024.
