(Universidade Católica Dom Bosco, Campo Grande) -On November 21, the Rector of the Don Bosco Catholic University (UCDB), Fr. José Marinoni, received the highest honor bestowed on individuals by the government of the State of South Mato Grosso: the insignia of the Grand Cross of the Order of Merit. For the occasion, 40 prominent figures from politics, the arts, business, and society at large received the decorations designated by the Council of the Order of Merit of the Mato Grosso of the South, chaired by Governor Reinaldo Azambuja.

The event was held in the Bioparque auditorium and was attended by various dignitaries from the University.

“”I want to thank the Governor and members of the Council for the award. I receive this tribute as recognition from the authorities for the work done by the Salesians. (…) This recognition goes to all those Salesians who have worked, dedicated themselves and given their lives for teaching, education, and to those who continue to walk the same path. Congratulations to the Salesians, the ‘Dom Bosco College,’ the UCDB, and the Salesian Mission,”

– Fr. Marinoni.
