O P. Gabriel Romero visita as atividades sociais, religiosas e educativas dos salesianos de Campinas

 

(Centro Universitário Salesiano, São Paulo) – From March 21 to 24, the Salesian Lyceum College “Mary Help of Christians”, the Salesian School “São José”, and the Salesian University Center (UNISAL) of Campinas, welcomed Fr Gabriel Romero, Councilor for the America South Cone Region, on an Extraordinary Visit to the Province of Brazil-Sao Paulo (BSP).

 

Fr Romero began his program with a special “Good Day” addressed to the students of Elementary School 1 in the College Lyceum, and did the same with the students of the Middle School and Vocational Center “Don Bosco” in the School “São José”, spreading a message of friendship and gratitude and through a moment of prayer. Afterward, coordinators and leaders of the sectors of the Lyceum College and the “São José” School participated in an exchange of experiences and learning with the Regional Councilor. At the “São José” School, Fr Romero visited the labs and workshops of computer science, electronics, pneumatics, mechanics, and the game room of the “Don Bosco Vocational Center” (CPDB), and also got to know the entire process the latter develops. He then met with the leaders of UNISAL.

 

The Salesians also shared moments of prayer, spiritual readings, fraternity, and Mass. From March 25 to 27, Fr Romero visited the Salesian community of Campinas “Vida Nova,” and witnessed the work being done in the “Dom Bosquinho” and “Professor Francisco Amaral” Children’s Education Centers, as well as the “Mary Help of Christians Nucleus” and the “Don Bosco” parish. Throughout this time, the Councilor spoke with educators and religious involved in the work of this Salesian presence.
